God Sent Me A Message

By Carl Worline

On November 30, 2013 God sent me a message and it wasn’t in the form of a vision or a dream.  That was a little over 2 months ago and I am still shaken with awe at receiving it.  I have posted this message and the circumstances about it before, but it has had such a profound impact upon me that I want to re-post it again along with my thoughts about it.

As I drove to work on that November morning I prayed out loud, respectfully complaining to God that I have been searching out dreams and visions by others about the rapture and when it might happen.  Everything that I have found so far with any kind of a date, whether specific or just general in nature, has proven false.  Even the dreams and visions I have read about and listened to that do not have any kind of time frame attached usually sound like they were fabricated by attention seekers or wanna-be modern day prophets.

Somehow this just doesn’t seem right to me.  The Bible tells us in Joel 2:28-29 and again in Acts 2:17 that in the last days God will pour out His spirit and that our sons and daughters will prophecy, along with young men having visions and old men dreaming dreams.  We are definitely in the last days, and if the Bible says it will happen, then it is going to happen.

In addition, Amos 3:7 tells us that God does nothing without first revealing it to His servants, the prophets.  Once again, if the Bible says it is going to happen, then we absolutely need to know it will happen.

Furthermore, Revelation 3:3 commands us to watch for the Lord’s return or else it will come upon us as unexpectedly as a thief in the night.  Certainly we are not being commanded to watch for something that we cannot see approaching.  There is much debate in the prophetic community over whether or not we can know the hour, or even the day; but there is a very strong scriptural argument that we can certainly know the season.  If Amos 3:7 is true (and it has to be true because it is in the Bible), then modern day prophecy is going to happen.

The problem is that I do not have the ability to discern the difference between when God is speaking to me and when it is just my imagination.  Other people claim to hear God speaking to them all the time.  I am envious of those people, because I just do not have that ability.

In my prayer on the way to work that morning I respectfully reminded God that Jesus told us quite plainly in John 14:13 that He would do whatever we ask if we ask in His name.  Of course, it would have to be something that was in accordance with His will.  Certainly, asking for discernment to know what is truly God’s word from what is false is in accordance with God’s will.

At that moment I felt quite lost and alone.  I was formally asking God for help and yet I knew I could not trust anything my inner voice told me.  Could I be wrong in my interpretation of the above scripture?  Could this scripture possibly be wrong?  I had arrived at a point in my walk with the Lord where I honestly felt I had lost His guidance and I did not know which way to turn.

I was all alone in my car and yet God heard my prayer.  The idea that the Creator of the Universe and the Master of everything in it would hear my prayer and take the time to give me a definite answer that I would know was not just my overactive imagination has truly humbled me.  Who am I, Abba, that You who are so magnificent and supreme would be mindful of me, who is so small and insignificant?

When I got home that evening there was an e-mail waiting for me in the computer.  I did not recognize the sender, but I decided to open it anyway.  Here is what it said:

You are hearing clearly in the spirit. God does nothing on the earth without first revealing it to his prophets. Your brother in the lord. (Name Withheld)

I swear I nearly fell out of my chair.  This is a very short and specific answer to my prayer.  I may not be able to distinguish the voice of the Lord from my own inner thoughts, but I can certainly read and understand the English language.

I have no idea who the person was that the Lord used to send this to me.  Part of his e-mail address was “2013,” which makes me think he had recently acquired that address, since it was 2013 when I received this.  I also noted that the e-mail address was “@g-mail.com.”  “G-mail.”  Really?  G-mail as in “God-mail” ??  Everything about this really shook me up.

Clearly in my spirit, this e-mail was a specific answer to my prayer a few hours earlier and I am convinced that it came to me from God through one of His servants.  Nobody will ever be able to convince me otherwise.

Talk about a “WOW” moment.  This was certainly it.  Additionally, this is so typical of God’s style.  I am absolutely convinced this message is genuine and yet there is nothing here that I can point to as “proof positive” to others.

So, if I am truly hearing clearly in the spirit, which modern day prophets are speaking the truth, as given to them by the Holy Spirit; and who are lying?  The answer is that I still do not know.  I feel most are fabricating their messages, or else they are being deceived my demons and followers of the evil one.  A few, I feel, are genuine.

The one thing I do feel in my spirit with total conviction is that the Age of Grace is truly about to end and will come to an end very suddenly.  Something really big is about to happen and huge changes are going to take place very, very soon.  I feel in my soul that the rapture is going to happen at a moment when we least suspect it and is going to take everybody by surprise.  I also feel that the “great destruction” spoken of in the Bible is going to happen very soon and probably in conjunction with the rapture.  I sense that there are so many signs out there screaming at us that the end of the Age of Grace is at hand that we have become numb to them and yet, at the same time, I feel that we are in the “calm before the storm.”

The Bible clearly tells us that some of the prophecies we are hearing today are truly from our Lord.  We need to be diligent in our search to find them and to separate the truth from the lies.  That is part of what being a watchman is all about.

I have no idea how soon the rapture will take place, other than “soon.”  It may be in conjunction with a Jewish or Gentile holiday, or it may occur on a day with no significance at all attached to it.  One thing is for certain, nobody will ever be able to say that we did not have plenty of advance warning.  Common sense tells me that the world’s economic, political, social, religious, and military systems should have collapsed long ago.  The only reason why they haven’t is that God is holding everything together with the power of the Holy Spirit.  How much longer the Holy Spirit will restrain this collapse is something known only to God.  Maybe God is holding off as long as possible to get as many souls as a “people unto Himself” before He removes His Restrainer and the Age of Grace does collapse.  In the meantime, I am going to stubbornly search for every clue I can possibly find.  It is part of my duty in being a watchman on the wall.
