The three R's of Prophecy are 1) Repentance, 2) Restitution, and 3) Reconciliation.
Superficially, none has anything to do with eschatology or the Second Coming. However, the most important part of prophecy is NOT being right with regard to dates, times, seasons or schemes. Rather, it's about being READY for the return of Christ when He comes, so that He will get the Bride He DESERVES.
Repentance is essential. We tend to think we're "okay" because we compare ourselves morally with each other, or with the unsaved. However, we need to discard the idea that we may be "good enough" and, instead, meditate point-by-point on Exodus, chapter 20. Only by examining the pure Law of God will we even begin to understand our fallenness and our desperate need for a Savior.
Restitution is the painful process of making things right in tangible ways with those we have offended, harmed, or sinned against.
Reconciliation is not always possible, but Paul counsels us in Romans 12 to " ...if it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men." This, I believe, is critical to those who are living prophetically, because prophetic insights can be offensive for several reasons. Regardless of the timing of the return of Christ, living prophetically entails confronting the culture with the truth of scripture.
