Steve Coerper "When they say, 'Peace and safety!' then sudden destruction will come upon them, and they shall not escape." 1 Thessalonians 5:3
We tend to think of the end of the world as an event, but the end is actually a process. While it is true that most people will not survive the process, some will. Even for those who won't, some preparation is prudent, as you will see. Iran and Syria sign defense cooperation pact — With one fell swoop of a pen stroke, Syria probably sealed their prophetic fate according to the prophecies of Isaiah 17. God's purpose in ending the world is to establish a kingdom of righteousness. We may have our own ideas about what that entails and what it will look like, but our opinions about righteousness ultimately do not matter. This is because this will not be our kingdom, but rather the Kingdom of Jesus Christ on earth. Jesus will be exercising all power and authority, and those not having His righteousness will be banished. For man-centered, democracy-minded people such as live in America, this may sound like a bitter pill. But the fact remains: Jesus Christ is Lord of all the earth, and it is His will, not ours, that will ultimately be done. We are REQUIRED to conform to His standards, and those who don't will not see His kingdom; rather, the wrath of God will abide on them forever. At this point, you may be tempted to disregard this message as another religious rant. I hope you will reconsider if this is your inclination. First of all, what is wrong with righteousness? What is wrong with a kingdom where there is no sin, no theft, no violence, no murder, no lying? Why would we not prefer the way of life over the way of death? The end of the world will be that point when everyone receives the full consequences of the path they have chosen. Life and peace for those who CHOOSE life and peace, and complete separation from God and all of His goodness for those who refuse. It's really not any more complicated than that; even a young child can understand it. Secondly, this is not about "religion" or anyone's religious opinions. Rather, it is about obtaining a righteousness that comes from God, so that each of us might be accepted into His kingdom. Having said that, I must warn you that the time is very short! The next minor event (you may have to watch for it) will be a repudiation of Israel by the United States. When this occurs, a major multi-national military coalition led by Russia will assemble itself against Israel and will invade from the north. The world will witness a scorched-earth campaign that will kill two-thirds of the people in Israel. The remaining Jews will cry out for deliverance to the Lord Jesus Christ, and He will come to their defense. As He destroys the invaders, He will also rain destruction on the "coastlands," which includes the United States. One might ask, How does someone prepare for something as cataclysmic as divine judgment against the whole country? Here's how:
How Much Time Remains? In view of both current events and Biblical prophecies, I believe we are on the threshold of the final "week" of history before the visible return of Christ. I have written an article entitled The Final Fulfillment of Pentecost that explains how I reached this conclusion.
P.S. UPDATE: Binyamin Netanyahu insisted that Israel would never give up a united Jerusalem as its capital, and said that established Jewish settlements in the West Bank would continue to expand — despite explicit objections from Washington.
UPDATE: Former President Jimmy Carter said Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank were the biggest hurdle in the hobbled Middle East peace process, saying they were "illegal and (an) obstacle to peace." UPDATE: National Security Adviser James Jones told a European foreign minister that the US is planning to build an anti-Israel coalition with the Arabs and Europe to compel Israel to surrender Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem to the Palestinians. UPDATE: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is now hammering Israel over its treatment of Palestinians in Gaza and demanding Israel speed up aid to Gaza. Jewish leaders are furious. UPDATE: The pick of Chas W. Freeman, Jr to head the NIC is just another example of the new US President's plan to change US policy toward Israel. Freeman believes all Muslim terrorism stems from Israel's battle with the Palestinians. DO YOUR HOMEWORK:
