The Iron Web book tour ...
Larken Rose Flint Wins! (or loses, depending upon your perspective)
March 30, 2009 - As things stand now, it looks like I'll be doing a pro-freedom rant, to any who want to attend, in Flint, Michigan. I have a hotel conference room reserved for the evening of Saturday, May 2. It holds 80 people, so it might be good if people let me know how many people they expect to bring, to make sure we don't overflow the place. Once again, the talk itself will be free, though we may ask for a few bucks for whoever hosts the thing. I'll also have copies of my new book (and both of my other books) at the talk, for those who want them. And again, the talk is especially targeted toward people who are NOT already pro-freedom "extremists" (though I think fellow wackos will enjoy it, too). So drag along whomever you can! This is still a month away, and I'll be reminding the list of it again, but just so you know, it will be held in the conference room at the AmericInn in Flint, Michigan, maps and directions for which can be found here: http://www.americinn.com/hotels/MI/Flint/directions#content And again, this is the first time I'll have my new book, "The Iron Web," available, since I will have just picked up the first batch of books from the printer the day before. (And the next day I'll be stuffing lots of envelopes for the people who pre-ordered. If you want to get on the pre-order bandwagon, you can still send $15 via PayPal to "cartoonlion@hushmail.com," or send $15 to the address shown below.) Larken Rose P.S. A bunch of people across the country have asked when I might be in their neck of the woods. Well, I'm still hoping to do a road trip tour (camping in an RV) of most of the country, stopping here and there to give a talk, but I'm not sure exactly when (or if) that will happen. It kind of depends upon whether my family is destitute or not (which tends to limit our ability to travel). It also depends upon whether anyone would show up, not just because ranting to an empty room is boring, but also because if a few people here and there showed up and bought a book or two, we might be able to afford the trip. I guess the upcoming Michigan talk will be a sign of whether I should do more of that kind of thing.
