'Governments' use force. That's ALL they do.
Compassionate Fascism Larken Rose The only real difference between communism and liberalism is that the latter has a better PR team at the moment.
September 23, 2008 - The most impressive propaganda achievement in history has to be the fact that the vicious, inhuman, destructive violence of communism is seen by most as compassionate and kind. Of course, after the famous mass atrocities committed in the name of communism, they had to change its name. Now it's called "liberalism." The only real difference is that it has a better PR team at the moment. The modern communists, like Barack Obama, fling around images and rhetoric of happiness, hope, love, and so on. This is a little like a hitman using bunnies and flowers to advertise his services. "Governments" use force. That's ALL they do. When they pretend to "give," what they are doing is FORCIBLY taking something from one person and giving it to someone else. Anyone who stops to think about it for more than two seconds cannot escape that fact. All the government "programs," and government "investments," and government grants -- EVERYTHING the feds do starts with taking YOUR money and spending it the way THEY want to spend it. And what happens if you refuse to pay? Then the violence behind every so-called "law" becomes apparent. Collectivism -- whether you want to call it "communism" or "liberalism" -- is based on the premise that the "collective," which always ends up meaning government, rightful owns everything and everyone. You belong to them. You are their slave. If they are nice, they might LET you keep some of what you produce, but every scrap of wealth, according to their twisted view, ultimately belongs to THEM. And if you try to deprive them of it, expect to be put in a cage or killed. If Obama -- or any other politician, for that matter -- were literally honest about what he is proposing, how much support do you think he would get? "If you elect me, I promise to forcibly deprive you of more of your money, forcibly control and monitor your lives in more ways, and do whatever I can to render you defenseless, helpless, and forever dependent upon and subservient to me and my fellow tyrants." And yet, when today's communists advocate exactly that, but use prettier words, Americans FLOCK to them in droves, wildly cheering for their own enslavement. And amazingly, when the vicious violence of collectivism does show its face -- whether by the abusive nature of the IRS, the brutality of the police, the unthinking meat-grinder of the federal bureaucracy, the insane and dehumanizing prison system, etc. -- all those who support communism (under the euphemism "liberalism") think it's some sort of unfortunate coincidence. They fail to see that that inhuman violence IS what they are advocating. It's what provides the "free goodies" for megalomaniacs to give away. All of Obama's banter about hope and change and love is in reality about the initiation of VIOLENCE against you and 300,000,000 other people in this country. Those who proudly display Obama signs might as well display "Stalin '08!" signs. And in case anyone thinks I'm being melodramatic or exaggerating when I use the term "communism," I'm not. The principles of that heinous, anti-human philosophy are very simple: every individual is the property of the collective, a slave of those who pretend to represent the "common good"; what the individual produces does not in any way belong to himself, but to whomever the collective decides "needs" it; your time, your money, your property, your friends and family, all belong to the collective, and those who act in the name of the collective have every right to rob you, torture you, or murder you, because you BELONG to them. It shouldn't be surprising that such a philosophy has led to the atrocities committed by Stalin, Lenin, Mao, etc. What is surprising is that you can take the SAME philosophy, put a few decorations on top, and sell it to a hundred million gullible Americans as if it's the only hope for humanity. Making every individual a slave to the state is what Obama and every other collectivist (including the lunatic, John McCain) is preaching. And sadly, the potential slaves view it as salvation. To end this message on a more pleasant note, the following link will take you to another hilarious parody by the guys at JibJab. Take particular note of how they portray Obama's message. That's how communism has been sold for decades. However -- surprise, surprise -- the result wasn't love and peace, unicorns and rainbows.
